ABSTRACT
Esta pesquisa foi realizada com um grupo de trinta e nove mulheres. Teve como objetivo analisar os sentidos das concepções sobre saúde bucal para um grupo de mulheres, pois acredita-se serem pontos relevantes para construção de novas abordagens em educação em saúde. A coleta de dados ocorreu em dois momentos: 1) questionário; 2) coleta de informações pela técnica da história oral (grupo focal). O questionário caracterizou o grupo de mulheres, enquanto que o uso da técnica da contagem de história permitiu aproximação com as vivências do grupo focal, transitando entre a fantasia e a realidade, construída por meio de seus olhares e percepções. Nota-se que a forma com que os sujeitos da pesquisa percebem sua saúde bucal, suas necessidades e o modo como pretendem solucionar os seus problemas, nem sempre condizem com o esperado pelos profissionais de saúde. Nessa perspectiva, a educação em saúde, sustentada por uma abordagem problematizadora, possibilita o conhecimento aproximado das necessidades das pessoas acerca dos seus problemas.
This article was carried out with a group of thirty ninewomen. The goal was to analyse the senses of the conceptsabout oral health for a group of women because they arethought to be relevant points for the construction of newapproaches in health education. The data collecting wasdone at 2 moments: 1) questionnaire 2) collecting of informationthrough the technique of oral account (focal group).The questionnaire characterized the group of women whilethe use of the technique of oral account permitted approximationwith the experiences of the focal group, transitingbetween fantasy and reality built by means of looking andperception. It is noted that the form with which the subjectsof the research perceive their oral health, their needs andthe way they intend to resolve other problems, not alwayscorresponds to what the health professionals expect. In thisperspective, health education, sustained by a contextualizingapproach, makes possible the close knowledge of thenecessities of the people as to their problems.
